Though no one in Peplandia suspects the existence of the Core, it is very much real. This core is unusual; no one ever investigated it, but one thing is certain: it is inextricably linked with the robots.
There is a theory that the Core powers the robots, giving them energy. The robots, in turn, collect and deliver magic to the Core necessary for the birth of new individuals. If Pepyaka ever finds robots, he’ll notice that their appearance is determined by the function.
Robot types

Guardians – monitor the well-being of the Core and know how to communicate with it.

Defenders – were created to keep intruders away from the Core, should any ever appear.

Collectors – bring magic to power the Core.

Mechanics – restore the Core and repair other robots.

Breeders – help to create new robots.
Inside each robot there is a kind of soul: a magic crystal that gives the robot life. Robots existed peacefully in the depths of Peplandia. But long ago, magic near the Core began to dry up. And robots built a giant device to drill to the surface and collect magic there. It was a huge surprise to the surface residents, who were unaware of the robots existence. In those days, society was primitive, and digging up a hefty contraption in a home clearing made quite an impression.
The robots dug out, gained enough magic, and dug back in. Unintentionally, it was a huge impact on civilization, as their drill seemed to surface residents like a giant carrot! Residents unanimously decided it was unique and certainly divine and actively began to worship the Carrot, build temples in its honor and wait for a new coming. Which, alas, did not happen, because the robots gained magic for centuries to come. Temples became empty, and once a popular cult was forgotten.
